2014 Application for Rescue Groups

Deadline for submission: March 31, 2014

The completion of this application does not guarantee that your rescue group will be selected as a benefactor of Dogtoberfest 2014. All applications will be reviewed by the selection committee and all that meet all pre-determined criteria, will be considered. Eight rescue groups will be selected to share in this years proceeds. All groups will be notified via email no later than May 15, 2014. Each of the selected rescue groups must submit their payment of $250 no later than May 31, 2014.

Qualifying rescue groups must meet the following criteria for consideration:

  • Your organization must be 100% volunteer, with no paid staff.
  • Your organization must be Austin-area based and adopt out no less than 75% of your dogs in the greater Austin-area.
  • Your organization must pull a minimum of 50% of your dogs from either Travis and/or Williamson County Shelters.

Please note that no on-site adoptions are permitted on the day of the event. You must be set up and ready no later than 10 am and keep your booth up and operating until 4 pm on the day of the event.

Has your group participated in Dogtoberfest previously? As a benefitting group or non-profit booth? *

Please list all shelters and/or areas you pull dogs from. To be eligible, you must pull no less than 70% of your dogs from either Travis and/or Williamson County shelters.
Your commitment if selected
if your organization is selected as a benefactor to share in the proceeds of Dogtoberfest 2013, please confirm your willingness to assist in the following areas:
Submit $250 participation fee to off-set cost of insurance *
Distribute marketing materials leading up to the event *
Print & distribute event flyers to all potential contacts *
Send emails promoting the event to your organizations database *
Distribute promotional materials at your Meet & Greets / Adoption events *
Post event information on your web site as well as Facebook & Twitter pages *
Provide volunteers to work the event *
This would be one person, for the day of the event, to work as a block captain.
Have a minimum of 6 adoptable dogs at your booth at all times during the event *
Participate in any fundraising efforts leading up to the event *
ex. Dining for Dogtoberfest at California Pizza Kitchen
