DogtoberTROT 2016

Julie & Stan are so happy to announce the 5th Annual DogtoberTROT, benefitting local Dog Rescue organizations.

On Saturday, October 15th, we will have a 1K TROT around Domain Phase II. Come on out with your 2-legged and 4-legged companions for a fun filled morning prior to the 9th Annual Dogtoberfest at the Domain!

DogtoberTROT sign in begins at 8am sharp on Saturday, October 15th. Warm up & event starts promptly at 9am. Hang around after the TROT, as raffle winners will be called. 

We can't wait to see everyone there!!


Registration is $30 for each team (consisting of 1 human & 1 canine), $10 per additional members under 12, $30 for any additional Trotter over 12.

Your registration will get you:

  • Entry into the TROT
  • Event t-shirt
  • Raffle ticket for chance to win great prizes donated by Domain II vendors

Payment is due at time of registration.  Please make your payment using the PayPal link located at the bottom of this page.

The deadline for entry is October 9th. All entries that come in after this deadline will not be guaranteed a shirt.

Pet Portraits

Our visitors love to make a stop at our photo booth and have their pictures taken with their four-legged friends. 

For a $5 donation, we will capture your 4-legged family member's 5x7 photo in front of a custom back drop.   

All proceeds go directly to the Dogtoberfest rescue groups.

Wiener Dog Races

You've heard about them, and maybe even seen them.  This is your chance to be part of the annual Wiener Dog Races at Dogtoberfest.  Participating dogs are guaranteed plenty of entertainment! 

Presented/organized by Central Texas Dachshund Rescue and sponsored by Spirit 105.9, the Wiener Dog Races will be held on the Phase II lawn, in front of iPics Theater.

Registration is located at the Central Texas Dachshund Rescue Booth from 10am-12pm. It is $10 to join, and is first-come, first-serve. Your pup must also be a full-bred Dachshund to participate. Spaces do fill up quickly! We recommend you arrive early to register your pet for this event.

Races will take place between 12:30pm and 1:40pm. There is a trophy for the overall winner.

Canine Costume Contest

Sponsored by KXAN, our Costume Contest has quickly become the most frequented daytime activity at Dogtoberfest!

Prizes will be awarded for individual categories. A $5 donation to Dogtoberfest is suggested to register.

This year's categories are:

• Best Ensemble
• Best Duo (1 human +1 dog)
• Fantasy & Superheroes
• Sports Stars
• Best in Show (overall winner from one of the 4 winners in each category)

Registrations for the event start at 10AM on the day of the event. Entries for each category are first-come, first-serve and limited spaces do fill up quickly. We recommend you arrive early to register you and your pet for this event.

Silent Auction

This activity is held every year. Located adjacent to the main stage, the silent auction features items from Domain vendors as well as many truly "Austin" businesses.  The silent auction is the main fundraiser for Dogtoberfest, so please visit often & bid bid bid!

All proceeds go directly to the rescue groups benefitting from our event.

Raffle Drawings

This activity is held every year. 

You can purchase tickets at the table located by the main stage.

1 ticket is $5, 3 tickets are $10, and 8 tickets are $20.

We will be featuring various demonstrations this year on the Phase II lawn in front of iPics Theater.

VIP Tent

Sponsored by Nulo, the VIP Tent is a new addition to our 2016 lineup of events! 

Purchase a $25 ticket (on-site only) for access to the VIP Tent from 10am-4pm (re-entry with wristband allowed), two drink tickets (beer/wine provided by Blackfinn Ameripub), appetizers (provided by BowTies to BlueJeans Catering), soft drinks, and a swag bag filled with goodies! A limited amount of spaces are available, and tickets are first come, first serve.

Dining for Dogtoberfest

Dining for Dogtoberfest is an all-day restaurant event that raises funds to help our benefitting Dogtoberfest rescue groups.

This year's event will be held at Blackfinn Ameripub on October 12th from 4pm to 8pm

The 5th Annual Dogtoberfest Cocktail Contest will take place on the patio at 6pm. Each participating restaurant comes up with a dog-themed cocktail to present to our judges, which will then be scored based on presentation, creativity and taste. The winning bartender/restaurant is then given the coveted Dogtoberfest Dog Bowl, which lives in front of their restaurant until next year's contest.

Blackfinn will also be offering a specialty menu all day, just for Dining for Dogtoberfest!

A portion of the proceeds from the specialty menu come back to Dogtoberfest.
